Kyle had a rare week last week. He was not back East working, nor was he here mowing the lawn and cleaning the pool {The first thing he does when he is home for a visit is open the back door and check out the pool and start cleaning it. And after he is done with that, he gets out all the lawn tools and goes to town hacking away at the greenery I didn't get to. I'm not kidding. The sad thing? I think he's only swum in the pool twice in the 1.5 years we've lived here. Unless you count the time that he had to replace the pool light. He actually got in his swimsuit and had snorkel gear on an everything.} Okay, now that we are done with that tangent, time to revisit Kyle's rare week.
He was on High Adventure with the scouts.... you know. Where they do fun things like feed Sour Patch candy to little critters...and take pictures of it? Yes, that's where he was.
This year they went to Southern Utah and did some amazing hikes. Kyle is terrified of heights and after a bit of hiking up Angel's Landing, he decided he was ready to go back down. Two very grateful scouts in his group soon followed, feeling totally relieved they weren't the only ones not wanting to finish the hike.
So that's one thing I've done that Kyle hasn't. Hiked Angel's Landing. Score now is Kyle 234 and Michelle 1.
I think this is Kyle on the hike, just before he decided to go back down.
Tonight I found a Twix in my drawer with a sticky note from him, letting me know I need to start planning a vacation for he and I to go on.
Sounds good to me! {the twix and the vacay. i think i'll go finish the twix so i can focus on the planning...}
Ideas? Someplace warm. Fun, relaxing, adventurous....warm. And no cell phone reception...
