A miracle happened

June 20, 2011. I had to stop my children as they were happily playing in the house this particular summer afternoon. I just wanted to freeze time. Savvy-- dishoveled hair from a recent nap-wakeup and wearing a dress of COURSE! Ruby--playing with a plastic wrench and just genuinely happy to be alive, Cade-- arm around Ruby in true protective brother-like fashion with his shirt off to look like Daddy cleaning the pool.

Yes, a miracle. I overcame all the odds and obstacles that have been holding me back for the last 2 months and accomplished the sizable and hefty task of plugging in our camera to my laptop. 270 pictures and videos are being uploaded as I type. I am just moments away from being able to indulge myself in re-living our May and June over and over and over again. I look forward to retelling of our adventures in the coming days. Stay tuned!

Also speaking of miracles, I went on a date with myself yesterday afternoon (don't laugh) and saw 17 Miracles. It was awe-inspiring and amazing and emotional and awful and incredulous to watch. I came home with a splotchy face and a headache. The tears couldn't stop falling once the movie started. I love cinema that helps you not only see the grand scheme of things in this life, but also recognize that the small things we have are truly great blessings. Go see it. It will move you. Don't watch the trailer though. I'm glad I didn't. You don't want to spoil any of the miracles!
