Daddy's Surprise

On Kyle's drive back to Chicago, he made a mini detour in Wyoming to pick up some celebratory supplies to help ring in the 4th:

Savvy is happy, Cade is not. He wants to take a photo with these by himself.

That's better!
\Notice Cade is also sporting yet another lost tooth!  We were at my sister's for a pre-Stadium of Fire BBQ (Kyle was still driving home)and  Cade soon discovered he was in perfect company in order to get his loose tooth out. He had been pleading with myself and  his Uncle Scott all day to yank it out, but we would have nothing to do with it.  Lucky for him, my sister is a dental hygenist, her husband an endodontist, and his folks were also there-- who are also a dentist and a hygenist.  Between the four of them, out the tooth came, pain free!  He was quite excited about showing Daddy a surprise of his own when we came home.

We ran into Kyle's cousins who live in Boise coming out of the Stadium of Fire.  What were the odds of running into anyone we knew with thousands of people streaming out of LaVell Edward's stadium in the dark of night? It was a fun reunion.  They joined us on the Fourth with their families to celebrate with some sparklers and firecrackers. My sister joined us with her boys as well.

Little Lukey wasn't so fond of the noise though. He kept asking to go "buh-bye".  Once he was snuggled in a blanket with mommy, he did grace us with a few half-hearted yays.

Cade trying to multi-task:  Enjoy the sparklers and protect his ears from the noise.

The fella in the long-sleeved blue shirt is not Kyle, though it's his identical profile!  Scotty surprised us with a visit from Rexburg for the weekend.  We got lucky and snagged him a ticket for the Stadium of Fire just a few hours before the event.   It was his very first concert ever. I think he may have been disappointed he had to start with Carrie Underwood, until she winked and waved at him. :)

watching the snake grow....

Tyler wasn't so sure he wanted to let go of his ears, even if it meant swirling a sparkling stick!
