S.O.S.

It's coming down to the wire my friends, and I reeeeeallllllly need your help. I have a race this weekend. I need to pull together a sweet playlist ASAP that will last me thirteen point one miles of pavement pounding bliss.

My music criteria:
* Clean lyrics
* Peppy (cheesy is a-ok), and energizing

Pretty cut and dry, yeah? I'm so out of the music loop that I don't even know where to begin. All I know is I want Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun on my playlist and that's pretty much the extent of my brainstorming. There must be a ton of songs out there just begging to be on my i-Pod right? You know those songs that are so fun to listen to that you can't help but break out in a little jig when you hear them? Yes, I want those. I've got 120 minutes to fill. Okay, just to be safe, let's say I need 140 minutes. I wonder if my battery even lasts that long.... ?? It should, right?

Ready, set, go!

Some of my favorite things to listen to at the gym are cheesy show tunes, like half of the hairspray soundtrack. I also like Shakira for working out (random, I know) and lots of Christina Aquilera. Yeah, I am old, I know.

My playlist consists of Brittany Spears, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Fergie, Daughtry, Archuletta, The Fray, Maroon 5, Sean Kingston & Kelly Clarkson to name a few. I need to add another hour or so to my own playlist...

Have you seen Hairspray? I am currently obessed with the Hairspray soundtrack (You Can't Stop the Beat is my fav!) And the Mamma Mia! Soundtrack. I listen to a lot of Juanes too, that might be fun to add on there! I'll try to come up with some more and GOOD LUCK!

Britney Spears is awesome for running music. Also, NSYNC has some pretty sweet peppy music (and probably every boy band out there!)
