Off the Gram...back on the blog!

About two weeks ago I took Instagram off my phone, something I do every few weeks to keep myself in check. If I have a project or something that really needs to be done I'm super awesome at finding other things to do with my time than what needs to be done-- Instagram being one of them. When I am being real with myself and recognize that it is turning into an unnecessary distraction, I take it off my phone and give myself a little break from it. I have loved instagram because it has allowed for quick and easy record-keeping of the sweet, silly, painful or mundane moments that usually fly by without me pausing to savor-- much less record. I have certainly let it take the place of blogging and I have not felt guilty about it one but.

A few days after taking the app off my phone I reinstalled it again, this time feeling like I was in a much better, refocused state and tried logging in. Unfortunately there have been technical issues that have kept me from being able to successfully download it onto my phone. I'm sure I could do some research and figure it out but for the time being I'm not too annoyed or bothered by it and having a little more disconnect from the world of social media will likely do me need plenty more good than not!

So... I'm back here on the blog after quite a hiatus documenting our moments until....until who knows!

One event specifically  comes to mind that I meant to Instagram about for some reason I didn't... so I'll do it here:

In early November I got to take the Savannah and Ruby on a little trip down to St. George. The main event happening was the David Archuleta concert ...but we sure crammed in a ton of fun in the hours leading up to it!  We rolled into our bed-and-breakfast late Friday evening and Saturday morning enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Then the girls took a fun, hot bath in the model T Ford in our bathroom (yes you read that right!) and then we took a tour at the Brigham Young home there in St. George that was just across the street from us. A couple in our tour group wgot engaged right in the middle of the tour--which Savvy and Ruby totally are up.  We headed over to do some shopping and have lunch and got pedicures at a local nail salon. Then we hit the dollar theater and watched Inside Out.Dinner followed and then finally the main event! I've long since learned that anytime we do an event at the Tuacahn, we never plan on staying for the whole thing because they always start so late and my girls are so tired. So, I told myself going into this event that that would still be the case (even though--yes, it was David archuleta!) Sure enough Ruby fell asleep on the way there! About an hour or so into David's concert the girls were shivering cold and getting tired so before it turned into a miserable thing, we decided to head out and get a decent night's sleep.  It was an amazing weekend. We woke up Sunday morning, ate a delicious breakfast at our bed and breakfast and then enjoyed a really sweet sacrament meeting down the road. We came back changed and headed for home. The girls were really awesome sports and let me explore the area around Utah lake because we were getting family pictures the next day and I still needed to nail down the exact location. I was hunting for the perfect spot. Lucky me, I found one just in the nick of time!
